[ANY] Anti Color Abuse
 

Description:

Anyone who has Simple Chat Processor installed, along with a plugin like Simple Chat Colors or Custom Chat Colors, will find that ANY player can use ANY color via a certain exploit. This plugin removes the ability for these players to use their own hacked colors. This will not affect the ability for said plugins to give colors to authorized admins/donators.

• sm_anticolorabuse_version | Plugin version. Do not edit.
• sm_anticolorabuse_enabled | 0 = Disable plugin, 1 = Enable plugin. | Default Value: 1
• sm_anticolorabuse_allowadmin | Allow admins to use hacked colors in chat. | Default Value: 0 (Admin: Generic Admin (b) | Override: anticolorabuseflag)

Installation:

Place anticolorabuse.smx into your addons/sourcemod/plugins folder.

Nice, thanks. But please add "Plugin Dependencies:" otherwise this plugin will be useless for servers w/o simple chat processor and simple chat colors/custom chat colors

What exploit? How would my users be able to do this?

I posted here about it - it basically allows anyone to use colors even if you don't have permission too from say SCC or CCC thru configs or whatever. Many use it for VIP's or Admins only and you can really screw with people using it even make it appear as if objects were found that don't exist if you don't have access to fakeandforce plugin.

It was getting wide spread on mine - people were talking to each other so really till the processor is fixed to prevent this then its best to run it.

Great fix!

You may want to use Simple Chat Processor and check if the string "message" contains the colors.
I'm able to use it without Simple Chat Processor?
If yes, I just type "HelloFF0000buddy!" and it'll color itself?

Well the idea is to help fix an exploit with SCP that others seem to be using. So if you are using SCP then its advised that you use this too if you have issues with people using the codes to fire off colors or worry about it being used.
