Auto-trigger ban - legit?
 

Hello

I saw a ban from autotrigger today:

L 05/08/2017 - 16:23:57: [smac_autotrigger.smx | 0.8.6.0] xxx (ID: STEAM_1:1:xxx | IP: xxx) was banned for using auto-trigger cheat: Auto-Fire
Map: de_overpass | Origin: -1285 -3243 285 | Angles: 5 56 0 | Weapon: weapon_knife | Team: 2 | Latency: 39ms

This person has played on my server alot, and there has never been any issues with him, and suddenly he is banned for Auto-fire with a knife?
I find it a bit confusing that the weapon is a knife, I wouldn't think that auto-fire would make much of a difference when using a knife?

Can someone confirm that this is legit? (And how do you actually see it from the origin + angles?)

Could have been use of +attack bound to a scroll wheel, that is in turn a mouse that has an 'unlocked' scroll wheel (see infinite scrolling, hyperscrolling, etc).

Thanks, I'll spend some more time investigating this.
I'll watch the demo and ask him what he was doing right before the ban, if it is consistent with what you are describing I'll unban him.

I have had many players doing what you have described above (+attack bound to a scroll wheel, that is in turn a mouse that has an 'unlocked' scroll wheel ) and neither of them triggered SMAC.
