The SteamBans plugin for Metamod: Source provides Server administrators with a global professional banlist of known cheaters that have gone through a process of being checked manually and automatically by the SteamBans admins. Quality and Service is the nr.1 rule at SteamBans since 2003 and therefor is still the nr.1 global blacklist/banlist for HL1 and HL2 based servers.

Is SteamBans still terribly unstable? I just remember running it back in 08 and having my server go down daily with gdb pinning the blame on the SteamBans plugin.

I was running it on all my CS:S servers up until a few months ago and as far as I know it was stable, never had more than the usual SM crashes.

Yes it supports ALL HL1 and HL2 games so also HL2DM.

The requirements for steambans suck :/ I have like 7 servers, a website/forum, 20+ active admins and yet I was denied for not having an IRC channel lol.

You'd probably be denied for being nosteam as well.

Perhaps, but I'm steam only now so you think I can re-apply? Or is IRC really mandatory?
