maps.ini doesn't work

I have a list of maps in my maps.ini, I want this to be my mapcyle.
But it still uses the maps that are listed in mapcycle.txt, instead of maps.ini. What can I do? Do I have to delete maps.ini or something?

Huh?

MAPCYCLE.txt is yuor map cycle, NOT maps.ini. It never will be.

Just copy and paste your maps.ini into mapcycle.txt and voila...your maps.ini is your map cycle. maps.ini is only used for maps menu, and for your maps chooser at the end of each map (to choose th next map.)

When i create a server the damn amxx wont even use the mapcycle file :/ says it couldnt find it or something.

f1del1ty.oXi 12-29-2004 16:36

Well do you HAVE one? Is there anything IN IT? Is it lcoated in the right place? Answer those questions and then come back.

Tjosan 12-31-2004 08:08

Yes i HAVE one, YES there are maps in it, it is located there at the same place as the maps.ini and the original place in cstrike folder.

f1del1ty.oXi 12-31-2004 16:25

it shouldn't be anywhere NEAR the AMXX folders......it goes in

dedicated server\cstrike\mapcycle.txt

If you have it there, delete it, and use the vGUI part of HLDS in STEAM to make your Mapcycle Again and see if it works.

Tjosan 01-04-2005 15:05
