TF2 idle server
 

I was wondering what a TF2 idle server needs?
For csgo drops occur at the end of every map/match
How about TF2?
I googled about receiving drops in TF2
but i wasn't sure do you receive drops on free accounts?
what happen if you don't click the accept button when you received drop and keeps idle?
Whats the maximum slots for a TF2 server? 64?

TF2 gives you item drops when you die.

However, there's a catch: Until you dismiss the current new item notification, you're not eligible for the next drop.

so after reading the wiki basically what we need if a plugin that slays player after x min. + auto join + auto respawn plugin

is that it?

idle maps have killing player bulit in

stil wonder about auto join though
i have mp_forceautoteam set to 1 but still have to choose class
so need a plugin for autoclass?

and for autospawn

mp_respawnwavetime "10"
mp_disable_respawn_times "0"

wonder if that takes care of respawn?

Don't even bother with idle servers in TF2. Valve pretty much fucked them all over by changing the drop system so that you have to physically play to earn drops. I used to mainly run idle servers back in the day but that update killed them.

I think he meant trade server, I don't think there's any idle servers on tf2.

Why do you think he meant a trade server? It seems pretty clear from the auto kill and auto join requests that he is wanting an idle server.

No, they meant idle server. They described item drops. And you'd be surprised, there are still quite a few idle servers running.

Most of the idle servers I've been on in the past 3 years mainly just benefit players that want to farm their strange weapons. The ones idling don't really benefit from these kinds of servers anymore.
