Re: Request pack of deathrun maps
You can create the .txt file yourself? It's nothing more than a description of the map. If the mapper itself didn't make it, don't expect to find it elsewhere.

Re: Request pack of deathrun maps
i didnt even knew maps has txt files, as i knew, maps are .bsp or .res
i guess you have to put the maps name on maps.ini and mapcycles.txt, thats what you mean? (i guess) |
Re: Request pack of deathrun maps
The mapname.txt file is used to show the description of the map on the MOTD briefing screen (when you enter the server). That is, of course, for servers that don't have their own advertisement when you enter.

No detail texture mapping file: maps/deathrun_extreme_detail.txt Couldn't open file overviews/deathrun_extreme.txt. Using default values for overiew mode ! do you have a solution for this? |
Re: Request pack of deathrun maps
overviews are something different and not any map has it, but as i know, you can create it yourself -> (https://gamebanana.com/tuts/10738)

Re: Request pack of deathrun maps
mapcycle.txt is easy to generate
Under a linux shell you can cd to the maps folder and run this command ls *.bsp > mapcycle.txt Nicely alphabetically sorted. Open mapcycle.txt with your favorite text editor and delete .bsp using replace function leaving 'replace with' box empty |
Re: Request pack of deathrun maps
The .res file contains all resources a map needs. Remove ones you don't want the server to require.
Also, those errors won't do any harm to anyone. |
