CS server requirements

Hello guys,

I have a dedicated server on which I host some of my websites and I recently started a CS community hosting 3 servers, one for CS 1.6 and one for CS:GO, and a Teamspeak 3.

Server stats:
- OS: Ubuntu 18.04
- CPU: Amd Opteron 3280 (8cores)
- RAM: 24GB
- HDD: 1.8TB

My question are:
- Is it enough to host the 3 servers ?
- Which are the requirements to host all of these to run without any lag for 32 players?

Right now the servers are empty because I have just started and didn't do that much promotion. The Teamspeak 3 server however has some activity, mostly 5-6 people online. With all these, the CPU do not pass 2% and the RAM do not pass 1.8 GB.

Thanks,
Cristian

Re: CS server requirements

hey bud i think it's probably enough to host the 3 servers of them but it also depends on the mod that you are trying to put on your servers

if it's a zm mod i think it's probably not enough, also if you want to test if your servers doesn't lag you gotta try to boost them but try use a small boost on 1 of them and test the lag because with the boost the server gonna reach probably like 28-26/32 players and then you will test if the server lag in a crowded server if you have any more questions feel free to ask

gl ^^

Hi Expendable77

The cs1.6 server is classic and the cs go server is classic casual mode.
Can you give me a good boost service to try on the cs go server ?

Thanks,
Cristian

For CS:GO, read this: https://forums.alliedmods.net/showpo...71&postcount=5

As for the rest, you won't see any problems with the services you are running. Only CS:GO will have performance problems due to the low frequency.
