Unable to load plugin. metamod
 

hello,

I have installed srcds and metamod on Ubuntu linux.

but it says

Failed to load plugin "../left4dead2/addons/metamod/bin/server_linux.so"

i have installed everything correctly. i have ran through different tutorials and they didn't help.

this is my vdf file :

"Plugin"
{
"file" "..\left4dead2\addons\metamod\bin\server_linu x.so"

}

Which version of MMS? Is there a addons/metamod/bin/metamod-fatal.log?

using: mmsource-1.8.0.tar.gz

the log says :

L 12/27/2009 - 03:25:18: Detected engine 4 but could not load: /home/justen/srcds_1/left4dead2/left4dead2/addons/metamod/bin/metamod.2.l4d2.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

but there is no metamod.2.l4d2.so but a metamod.2.l4d.so

It sounds like you did not upload all files correctly. metamod.2.l4d2.so is in the package.
