First of all you might be asking why I did this. I did this because the other version had lots of bugs and hasn't been updated, even though he promised updating it this summer(the summer of '10 is over 'I am a dissapoint...' ) http://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?t=110229

The hurt points are a bit messed up for spitter and smoker, they currently will only get the Multiple Damage points instead of their respective spit and smoker cloud points. History: Note: If there are new cvars in any version delete your .cfg when updating. Code:

If you're playing versus or realism versus no the points don't carry over they're determined by this cvar l4d2_points_reset_mapchange "versus,teamversus" leave that empty if you want points to carry over.

Great job at re-writing it, the old version definitely needed an update. I'm going to install it on my server now, I'll report any errors.
edit: I like the menu, but I miss some of the admin commands. sm_clientgivepoints sm_clientsetpoints can you add those? explosive ammo is showing in the menu twice, and can you make a ammo refill option? Also, can you make it configurable to hide the "you earned x points" messages? |

Could you add another feature to this system? My idea is a variant of the previous system's headshot idea.
How many points does killing a certain amount of infected WITH headshots earn How many kills you need to earn a head hunter bounty There seems to be a problem, I left the reset convar alone, and it still resets the points on the next map in campaign. Is this an actual error or is it doing this because my server is changed for 8-player campaign? Also could you have it so that ALL points reset after being rescued in a campaign? |

@siangc I'll add the admin commands and I fixed the Explosive Ammo appearing twice
@delerium_trigger I fixed it so now points reset when you win the finale. And points do carry over now. :mrgreen: |

SG552 slot is bugged. Whenever I purchase it, it gives a random weapon. The first 2 times it was a rifle. Then the 3rd time it was a scout.
EDIT: It does not give a random weapon. It gives the last weapon you purchased. If you purchased a Rifle, then tried to purchase the SG552, it will give a Rifle instead. If you purchased an AK47 then tried to purchase the SG552, it gives the AK47 instead, and so on. It is really annoying. Other than that bug, the rest of the system works flawless. |

One last thing that this needs is a function that hides weapons from the menu if the price is set to <0 (like in the original, if it was -1 then it wouldn't show up in the menu).

Very nice. About time the old unmaintained one got replaced :) And that fix where it checks green health is nice as well. People misused that a lot.
Btw the old one had another exploit, on c1m4_atrium and c6m3_port you need to scavenge gas cans which you can just buy using the plugin so it might be worth to add a cvar to disable gas cans on these maps. Of course you can just set it to -1 and disable it entirely since not much people buy those anyway or use a map config loader, but it would be a nice tweak to include it in this plugin :wink: |

For the most part I only made sure you couldn't buy Cola bottles on c1m2 and Gascans on scavenge making it so they wont appear on c1m4 or c6m3 needs a lot of game mode and map checks and was too difficult to do at the time, though I will try to completely fix it next version. :wink:

Well if it adds a lot of code just for that you might as well leave it like this, I mean I've never seen anybody buy a gas can anyway on a non-scavange level.
Maybe you can just set the cvar to -1 by default and add a remark with it. Thanks again for the plugin :) |

I realized even on v1.2.1 the points still did not reset after finale. Did you have it only reset on the stock regular campaigns because this did not reset after a custom map finale. I have not had time to test v1.2.6 but has this problem been resolved yet?

Do you think you could add points for protecting another survivor?
You know, when you save somebody from being attacked and the message pops up "[Somebody] Protected [Somebody]" In the generated cfg, you did not include how many points you receive for helping a survivor from a ledge. It automatically gives 1 point only but you never made a convar for it to be customized. Also, you have it set up so that the amount to purchase a defib, is the exact same amount that you gain when you use the defib on another survivor. Can you separate this because there are defibs already in each map so to have them the same amount would be too one sided. I would like them to be separate. I apologize if I am too needy with your plugin. I appreciate the hard work you put into it. I just think my suggestions help balance gameplay. Thank you |

Hmm, the defib is set to cost 20 by default and give you 5 when used on another survivor.

Yeah expect a new version within 30 min, Spoiler: !repeatbuy is fixed so it actually only buys the item you actually bought. :mrgreen: Oh, just found that I used the same Cvar: "l4d2_points_defib for cost and points given for doing the action.
