Hentai Rape Servers - L4D2
 

Hi all,

Whenever i click to join a random multiplayer, my game takes me these awful servers; does anyone know how to how to avoid these servers?

I have tried requesting admin ban me, emails to admins and even tried to force a ban - nothing!

Do you have "mm_dedicated_force_servers" or "sv_search_key" set to those servers?

Maybe - i wouldn't even know where to look for that!

When i load L4D2, for a split second i can see the regular servers, and then they get flooded with the Hentai servers.

There are many people saying the same thing about these servers, but some enjoy them as it's a chance to practice your SI skills. I just want to get rid of auto joining them as a priority server.

Leave the steam group which is adding those servers to your in-game list.

I've left them all and still the same :(

Hentai Rape server is a a load of bot survivors and you play as SI all the time.

These servers are hacking the steamgroup cvar some how. they are flooded in my group servers and im only in 4 groups and none of them are affiliated.

Its an exploit for more traffic.

Same with ZOZO.GG and Left4Lewd.

I don't think it's an exploit as such, it's Valve failing as usual. It's possible to get the steam group ID and then add that to your server, so groups can be filled with bad servers. Edit: I too want to know the outcome.

Zozo is hacking it for sure. You can only add groups up to a specific amount before you get a gamedata error followed by a delisting problem. The string has a limit just like sv_tags has one.

I'm sure zozo has cracked this limit so they can add add an infinite number of groups. Zozo is also promoting game piracy

You're basing that on the output of sv_showtags, right? It gets added to the private sv_tags, yes.

So you might as well reveal how we can crack the cvar limit of tags+steamgroups.

That's the internal Steam function for setting the search key and group data.

Normally, the engine limits the output to 1070 bytes due to limitations with the legacy master server, which is no longer relevant. The function and Steam backend do allow up to 2048 characters for this (with each group taking up five characters, plus the length of the group id, plus one for the comma on all but one). Ex. "grp:123456i,grp:123457i,grp:123458i,key:myse archkey2151".

Calling it directly bypasses the engine's limit, however it would be tricky to do directly from Sourcepawn since the SteamWorks extension does not expose it (but it would be trivial to add to that).

With luck, they'll eventually just remove that panel that shows group servers. The implementation is awful, as this thread proves.

Ok, so the native needs to be added to steamworks (and the person who made it is no longer active on these forums, yay).

I still don't understand what string value to put in here. SetGameData("grp:123456i,grp:123457i,grp:1234 58i,key:myse archkey2151") ?

Btw. they don't need luck. Workshop mod will take care of everything.

(used to show all steam groups from highest member count to lowest...). Some of you devs probably know where valve stores their group bank...

Oh, thanks for adding gamedata btw, but considering I already have 1070 bytes of steamgroups and I need a working https://steamcommunity.com/actions/GroupList to retrive the rest of page 5-10, what's the point :)
Ofc valve still allows you to search for group names in steam but even that search function sucks.
