SourceMod 1.4.7, Metamod:Source 1.9.2 released!

I'm pleased to announce that SourceMod 1.4.7 and Metamod:Source 1.9.2 have been released.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Metamod:Source 1.9.2 release fixed loading issues on CS:S and CS:GO after recent game updates.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

SourceMod 1.4.7 restores functionality for CS:S, TF2, DOD:S, and HL2DM after some changes for their linux client broke SM on linux servers.

Aside from that, it has some sweet bugfixes as we continue to improve the platform. See the release notes for a full changelog.

As always, you can get SourceMod from the downloads page. Some support links:Thanks to the rest of the SM team as well as KyleS, Drifter, ProdigySim, Peace-Maker, VoiDeD for various fixes as well as Powerlord and FlaminSarge for updating the TF2 enum.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For SourceMod on CS:GO, a 1.5.0 snapshot build is still required; however, SM 1.5.0 is nearing the end of development and due out soon.

If you are already running a 1.5.0-dev snapshot, you likely have most or all of what's new in 1.4.7 and do not necessarily need to upgrade.

If you're on a version older than 1.4.7, we certainly encourage an upgrade.

This is two different product releases and nothing to do with snapshots.

What are you saying doesn't work on what?

The MM:S and SM releases were tested on CS:S, both on Windows and linux servers.

Weird, I didn't think there was going to be a SourceMod 1.4.7 release... pretty sure Asherkin said something along those lines, but I'm too busy (or lazy) to search for it.

Valve making massive changes generally change our plans.

Great.

Valve's unexpected changes are destroying way too much for us who is actually playing the game.

Both the recent changes in CS:GO and CS:S were known about for months in advance. CS:GO because they did those previously and rolled them back, CS:S because Valve said they would do it the first time CS:S was synced with Orange Box after the OB Halloween update. The CS:S changes were pushed back twice (first from November to December, second from December to now).

Hello!
Can I use these releases on my CS:GO server or better to stay on latest snapshots (1.10.0 & 1.5.0)?
Thx!
UPD.

No. As restated in the past few news posts, including this one, CS:GO support is only in SM 1.5.0 and later.

Sorry, my mistake!

No. As restated in the past few news posts, including this one, CS:GO support is only in SM 1.5.0 and later. You will need a 1.5.0-dev snapshot until 1.5.0 is released.

Uhm, my server doesn't work anymore - I upgraded following the instructions and I keep getting:

"sm_admin"
"unknown command"

Do I need to update the .vdf?

Re: SourceMod 1.4.7, Metamod:Source 1.9.2 released!

you need to put loading sourcemod plugin to addons/metamod/metaplugins.ini from vdf file

That isn't necessary at all.

It's because your MM:S is outdated.

my hlds orangebox updated today and changed again libtier0_srv.so, im running newest snapshots.

That message isn't from SM nor MM:S; it's just a general debug message from Steam that you can safely ignore.

Re: SourceMod 1.4.7, Metamod:Source 1.9.2 released!

Hi all

Today I have installed Metamod:Source 1.9.2 and SourceMod 1.4.7 in my dod:s server.

SourceMod is not loading via vdf file.
I had to add the entry to metaplugins.ini to load the plugin.

Is there any issue with the metamod source version?

After loading the sourcemod plugin the following errors appeared:

Code:

L 08/16/2013 - 14:22:53: [nextmap.smx] FATAL: Cannot load map cycle. Nextmap not loaded.
L 08/16/2013 - 14:22:53: [SM] Plugin encountered error 25: Call was aborted
L 08/16/2013 - 14:22:53: [SM] Native "SetFailState" reported: Mapcycle Not Found
L 08/16/2013 - 14:22:53: [SM] Displaying call stack trace for plugin "nextmap.smx":
L 08/16/2013 - 14:22:53: [SM]  [0]  Line 138, /home/builds/sourcemod/linux-1.4/build/plugins/nextmap.sp::FindAndSetNextMap()
L 08/16/2013 - 14:22:53: [SM]  [1]  Line 108, /home/builds/sourcemod/linux-1.4/build/plugins/nextmap.sp::OnConfigsExecuted()

I have installed the dod:s server from scratch two days ago and it has default configuration.

I have realized that after the steamcmd update now the mapcycle is in a folder called cfg:
mapcycle_default.txt.

After creating a file called mapcycle.txt in the dod folder the errors from nextmap.smx disappeared.

Regards

This has been fixed for the upcoming SM 1.5.0 already and is in snapshot versions.
