AMX Mod X 1.75 Scripting Changes

The AMX Mod X 1.75 scripting changes are now available for public viewing:

http://wiki.amxmodx.org/index.php/AM...ipting_Changes

It is recommended that all scripters read at least the outline to get an idea of what will be added. AMX Mod X 1.75 will be released within about a week or so.

If you would like to help beta test, simply PM me.

Wouldn't matter you still wouldn't have it yet. Not untill all beta testing is done with.

Deviance 06-13-2006 19:05

i mean when that is done :P

GHW_Chronic 06-13-2006 20:40

I'de hate to say it. But that's not the worst idea Doombringer.

hope it come's in amxmodx, someday...

BAILOPAN 06-14-2006 02:41

This feature will never be in AMX Mod X. I believe it is insecure and dangerous to the end-user. The most I'd do is present an update warning.

Deviance 06-14-2006 07:00

but could you list what file's is updated after update? so i can take them only, instead of replacing all files( cause i'm not sure what files are updated )

or is it the .dll that i'm supposed to take if i already got amxmodx?

BAILOPAN 06-14-2006 14:23

Almost always all binaries are updated. If config files change we let people know.

I get this when i click the link, I didnt get it before though.

Warning: main(./LocalSettings.php) [function.main.php]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/users/wiki/public_html/wiki/index.php on line 62

Fatal error: main() [function.require.php]: Failed opening required './LocalSettings.php' (include_path='.:/usr/appdb/httpd-2.2.2/php-4.4.2/lib/php') in /home/users/wiki/public_html/wiki/index.php on line 62

DotNetJunkie 06-19-2006 14:50

An autoupdater would likely cause certain plugins to stop functioning properly
because of changes in AMXX.

An auto-updater could be implemented (but not endorsed by the AMXX
team) that would probably resemble something more like LiveUpdate or
Microsoft Update.

Test it before you release it, remember what happened with 1.50 Final release?
