The model index stuff was patched about... 2 years ago(?) when Kemsan found it out and released a plugin here that used it.

Ah, then I assume they are not too concerned with the current methods of adding in custom models, or overriding existing items (as both methods have worked for years, and still work.. And are really simple.)

I kind of think that the bonemerge stuff can be useful.

For example, we could finally make be the zombie plugins by bonemerging the zombie model to the player, then change the skin to the zombie skin.

Or Be The Roman-bot. Bonemerge the Romevision stuff and the Robot player model.
