Re: Is there a way to turn server NO lagg?
100 mb upload would be over 1000$ a month unless your renting it from a company like CI host etc. You do not have a 100mb upload connection from your local home, garunteed.

The lag from your server is, most likely, coming from it being hosted on your home cable connection.
Either rent a server, or deal with it. Quote:

Re: Is there a way to turn server NO lagg?
Simply look at the cpu and memory usage. Also check for crazy HD activity. These things will tell you if its the computer or the network connection.
In my experience, running a server on windows generally requires less cpu / memory than running one on a linux server. I have run a 20 player CS server on a 1.6ghz amd with 768mb ram with no problems. In any case, home internet connections are somewhat iffy since they are not always perfect. They may be fast, but packet loss, cheap routing, can cause problems. Thats why I used a dedicated 3.2ghz p4 HT with 2gb ram on a 100mbit pipe (burstable to 100mbit, with 10mbit guaranteed) located in a real datacenter for my gaming servers. Hippo |

Re: Is there a way to turn server NO lagg?
My LAN server currently runs on a 5 year old computer with 128 mb RAM, and p3 proc and run just fine with about 6 or 7 people...
