I'll see what I can do about the kicking.
About the icons, it seems that they are loaded but not called upon. However, I believe messing with a netprop can fix that. If the viewmodels for the l4d survivors are in the vpk files, I can use a netprop to load them. |

Sadly they arent, I was already looking into the viewmodels, it appears Valve left them out for this exact reason.
Something interesting though, Bill is in L4D2. Bills primary textures are in the Pak01 of regular L4D2 folder and in the Pak02 from the Add-on support his model, animations, and VMTs and VTFs are there. This didem't seem to work when I was trying it yesterday in versus mode. (L4D 1 survivors on The Passing)

About the icons, I noticed when you switch players to a L4D2 character the icon switches aswell, I assume this is because those icons are preached to load and the L4D survivor icons are not?
So by this shouldnt it be possible to precache the VMT and VTF for the s_panel_NAME files and then force them to load on the specific survivor? http://www.zilefile.com/files/11020_...no%20icons.jpg Presumably if possible it should also be possible to load their incap icons since they are also in the VPK file, however in past replacement tests with them they do appear a bit stretched. The reason Bill does not work, is because his model was not converted to L4D2. Try loading up Zoey's L4D1 model in the L4D2 model viewer and it will not work. What needs to be changed for Bill's model to work, I'm not sure but it may be the animations.
As for the icons, those icons are being called upon because Rochelle's icons automatically get called anyway. I'm assuming it replaces rochelle's icon file. |
