Hey
My friend have a problem, when he its starting the server its only shut down after 5 sec.
Whats the problem ?

not enough info... it crashing from something... either that or the command 'exit' is in a config file somewhere...

Running HLDS on laptop won't have suck big problem than a normal PC. I am running a HLDS on my laptop and I will even say it's better cause I can keep it 24/7.

There is a lack of information of your post, but I can tell you the problem do not come from the fact your friend have a laptop.
