choke+loss problem using rates by rate calculator

hey guyz ihav 335 download speed and 266 kbps upload speed as calculated by rate calculator

i calculated the following rates:
sv_minrate 0
sv_maxrate 3338
sv_minupdaterate 10
sv_maxupdaterate 11



i have 2.6 ghz pc +1 gb ram and want to run a 10 slot server but peopel face choke+loss if i use rates by rate calculator is there a to runthe server with 10 slots with same net speed .how do i get rid of the choke and loss

i dunno where u got ur rates calc from, but try using this:
sv_maxrate 30000
sv_maxupdaterate 101

i used the rate calculator in the sticky thread only and got these rates.
i use the console mode of hlds.exe and set the priority to high or realtime but stil people expierience choke and loss what to do.should i not use these rates.i also use ping booster 2.4.0.

For good ping use amx_RM.amxx

How many slots do you have? 400 kb up should only be about a 12 man max slotted server. Their are 2 diff ping boosters, 2.4 and 1.7 i think, if one isnt working that well, try the other.

If this is on a seperate computer, make sure you looked into those tips to get it running well, and make sure you have a limited amount of plugins running.

You shouldnt worry about the ticrate so much. i believe the default is 66. And yea, try taking the boosters off. And you diddnt answer all my questions either to find out whats goin on.

For GoldSrc, default tick is 100

see i jusy host the server i dont play that much so most of the time the servr is running on my pc and i am not playing i only use 12 plugins at the max,i hav taken the booster off but still wen i make a 10 slot server people face a choke of 2 to 5 and the server lags a bit .i also want to ask should i use the console mode or the nrmal hlds.exe the upload speed of 277 came frm the speed test given in rate calculator

the pings os the players donot vary that much dey ar approx constant with a flux of 3 to 4 but the main prob is clients cannot move that freely they feel there is lag there is a small delay in switching weapons ect..

You will feel that if sv_maxupdaterate below 13.
13 is minimum playable rate, but your bandwidth not allow.
