[TUT] TF2 34 slot

I've looked around for a while looking for ways to hack-increase the maxplayers for TF2 servers, I found a method of adding 2 slots to the maximum 32 slot valve rule.

Step 1: Download and install Oil plugin. (http://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?t=72429&highlight=oil) This adds a slot to any server with a simple cvar.

Step 2: When oil is working, you should be getting a 33 slot server. Nothing special, everybody has those now a days.. time to take it to the next level, put tv_enable 1 in your server.cfg file. This enables SourceTV and adds an extra slot so the SourceTV bot doesn't waste a precious slots.

Step 3: Now kick the SourceTV bot every time a maps loads. You could add some auto executing file that does this for you. Enjoy your new 34 slot TF2 server!

Interesting but if you could have 60 slots would you, you gotta draw a line as to where the game is still fun.

Yeah its true, although I don't think 2 extra slots will lower the fun. Also, for a popular clan like yours, you could just install Oil and not do the whole SourceTV thing and use that extra slot as a hidden reserved slot. I don't know if your hosting company would allow this, but its worth a try.

I dont like the idea of using 33 slots or anything above 32, makes you look bad. Some people dont consider the implications of always striving for more.

Exactly, make it hidden and have a reserved slot for yourself.
