What if SuperHeros Played Counterstrike?
Now they Do. This is an add-on that will make Mix/Match Hero Abilities available to players.
Pick and choose 10 hero powers as you advance levels from over 25 heros when it's done.

Special Thanks to OLO, Spacedude, Vexd, Scarzzurs, Ludwig, f117bomb, Lazy& AssKicR... for all of their code, help, and ideas.

Command to copy vault into mysql is amx_vaulttosql (run it once to convert to the xp in the vault to mysql database)
Table Schema in superheromodmysql.inc - must build tables first. If you're smart enough to run mysql
I'm sure you're smart enough to run this command ONLY once... Sorry - no copy from file to sql unless somebody wants it later.
I'm probably going to drop the file support soon - vault or mysql only.

What's Cool about it?:

1) Keep adding super powers - Create a mix/match superhero: i.e. wolverine+batman+superman ...

2) It uses a small API for character development - not all in one big file. Heros can be built separately
and then "registered" with the Mod. Admins can install/uninstall heros. Each Hero is it's own separate script.
Hopefully, cross my fingers, people will start building some heros and it won't be all up to me.

3) Bind Keys. SpaceDude said it. Limit the bind keys. BUT, this is a way to bind a few keys +power1,+power2,+power3.
Once you've done that - any hero picked (that requires a bind key) will be "distributed" its bind key.
If there were 100 cool heros, and a player picked 3 that required binds - they're +power1.

4) Cheating Death Check - If you have a server with C/D and cdrequired=0, People without C/D will not get any powers if you set sh_cdrequired=0.
That's a cool equalizer and strong incentive for them to go get C/D.

CURRENT HEROS IN THE ZIP

1) BATMAN - UTILITY BELT - Starts a round with all the cool guns
2) HOBGOBLIN - HOBGOBLIN GRENADES - Slightly more damage and autoregen of nades
3) XAVIER - MARKED MAN - Pick an enemy to mark - sprite trail line follows em. No cooldown. Mark a different player on the fly
4) DAREDEVIL - ESP - AMX_FORCE rip off - lighted maps and esp rings
5) FLASH - SPEED - UNHOLY AURA like but faster... You got to have flash
6) HULK - POWER STOMP - Stun closeby enemies - You have to be on the ground to use it. Short cooldown
7) HUMAN TORCH - Ludwigs Flamethrower style fire
8) IRON MAN - Regen'g Armor and Jetpack - XTRAFun mod required
9) MYSTIQUE - Morph into enemy skin - Yeah turn FF on for this one. Funny as hell.
Makes you use your radar or pause before shooting. Lots' more FF incidents too. Shoot first, ask question later.
10) NIGHTCRAWLER - Walk through walls - (noclip) makes sure you can move when noclip is over. High Cooldown
11) SPIDERMAN - HOOK - Spacedude's ninja rope. #*#* HOOKMOD
12) SUPERMAN - More Armor/HP/ and reduced Gravity
13) WOLVERINE - Superknife/ AutoHeal/ Faster Running with Knife
14) Dracula - Vampiric Drain - Yep WC3 like
15) Captain America - Super Shield - Random 1sec godmode
16) Punisher - No reloading required - endless clips
17) Skeletor - Summan Snarks - (anti-camper power!)
18) Zeus - Summons 1 dead fallen team-mate (i'd make zues_level pretty high in the server.cfg file)
19) Dazzler - Spakel Flash - Surround nearby enemies with intensely blinding light
20) Magneto - Metal Control - Removes weapons of an attacker (high level character)
21) Windwalker - Silent Footsteps...
22) Kamakazee - Kamazee style time-bomb
23) Bomberman - set a bomb then blow it up when somebody walks by
24) Cyclops - Laser Blast
25) Aquaman - breath under water + bubble gun
26) Anubis - hear ppl talk + show bullet damage

How to Install (yes there's a lot to it but pretty easy):

1) Requires Monster Mod for Skeletor (Linux+Windows)

2) Add superheromod.amx to your plugins.ini before the hero amxs
This meens use superheromodmysql is you use mysql
or use superheromodvault if you save by vault or don't save at all

3) Add all the heros you're interested in into the plugins.ini like normal: (sh_superman.amx ...)
Set your SV_MAXSPEED TO 600 for flash to be able to run full speed!

4.) Configure the mod using the shconfig.cfg located in configs dir.

amx_shsetlevel level (use to reduce/add levels)
amx_shsetxp (use to SET xp)
amx_shaddxp (use to ADD/REMOVE xp)
amx_shban (Use to ban someones use of powers)
say /superherohelp or /help - help menu
say /herolist - Lets you see a list of heros and powers
say /playerskills - Shows you what skills other players have chosen
say /myheros - Shows what heros you have picked and at what levels you picked em
say /clearpowers - to clear powers and repick
say /showmenu - to display power menu while your dead (if you leveled or cleared powers)
say drop Bat (etc.) - to drop just one hero and pick another
say /whohas - shows who has this hero

ALWAYS use the i386 versions first, then add the i686 modules one at a time in case you have issues with them you can eadily ID the problem. Some/ALL may or may not work for you...

cstrike and engine modules comes with the default AMXX install :P

extract the ZIP to your AMXX root dir and the files will go where they are supposed to go :D

yeah the weapon thing happens to me too (everytime u switch weps it says
Setting speed to 1.000000)

the only things that could be wrong is

1. [ 7] Counter-Strike RUN - cstrike_amx.dll v0.16 ST cmd Pause Pause (im using the lan version of cs and the won or steam version
is still paused)

2. Executing AMX Mod X Configuration File
exec addons/amxx/custom/shconfig.ini: not a .cfg or .rc file

and if it matters im using win xp and running a listen server

Everything seems fine (XP and level well displayed) but I just can't move anymore !! Neither bots. The only issue is to change weapon to make a couple of steps. Then no more move again

hi!

Well i talked to asskicker and he told me he fixed the movement problem!

Well I tried it out and ........... its not fixed.

The problem now:

1. I can't move period

2. if you get flash.. you can move

3. if you get flash then drop him u can move

4. if you jump on a hill you slide a little.

5. I think that the person is stunned

yes, definitly i think the person is stunned! well almost!

i have amx and now i'm trying to go to amxx, i installed everythign new from amxx, on my linux, i have monstermod, metamodx everything works fine, not until i load any of the plugins to plugins.ini and plugins folder then server wont load any ideas?

I don't know man, but I wana be able to hook it up by tomorrow. Also those "EXTRA HEROS" I downloaded, all I do is extract them all, add all the .amx files to Plugin Folder. Then add all the names to plugin.ini. I was wondering because in one of the SuperHero files, in the Config Folder has the original Heros like "cvars' and shit, and I was wondering if I needed to add any for the Extra Heros, if thats the case, screw it there way to many I wana do.

The problem is the get_user_weapon(id,temp,temp2). The id goes from 1 to 32(or something around 32) as it is now the mod tries to fetch weaponid's from playerid's not connected. Within the code block above is a commented template on a possible fix. The one there at the moment doesn't work. Most likely coz I'm drugged up at the moment and messed up the start/end of the loop or position in the array.

People getting stuck all the time is a whole other thing. minimal coversion of sh working on amx/steam completely freezes all people this is some amxx thing.

weird, it didn't for me, however it fixed the problem with the line 10 error thing, but i still have the speed set to 1.000 for some reason.

Btw when you say download new version, do i have to install the heros all over again, or just superheromodvault.amx?

Without investigating this att all I'd say its server conf problem.

I have max speed confed to 320 But when game is started its 900, with max speed cvar isnt set att all (checked with grep in all files) its still 900 in game. Im on linux if it matters. U gott 1000 max speed... thats strange.

First off, I'm terribly sorry Asskickr, I don't have the time now to look at this, so this report has to do for now.

Tested on plain amxx no extra fancy stuff, only spidermans movement CVARS have been changed (lowered) 8 players testing and lots of credits to them for reporting in a very structured way!

Speed - sometimes you get stuck (even while running), weapon change solves this but the speed is often increased much when you get "unstuck". Same thing when running for more than 10 seconds the speed increases.

Punisher - sometimes doesn't reload bug
*Possible solution* Setting a cvar so it works as usual. ie. dropping the gun then giving a new gun.

Batman - (and custom hero Robin) doesn't give guns
From the log files (fun since its outside of the code :D ):

create a blank text file and when ur about to save it choose : save as file type : ALL and name it "vault.ini" without qoutes. thats ur basic vault file. it is supposed to be filled in by amxx with anything that uses vault.

PS: Noizza STFU.. don't say a word!!! i won't allow you to f*** up the mod more than it already is :cry:

as u might have noticed... once u join the server it freezes u. but when u do a amx_cvar sv_restart 1 u can move again. and when u change a weapon u freeze. u can move again when u try to switch very fast.. but that only allows u to move a little..

i am having putty in the background and trying to play the game as it is. i notice that whenever i switch gun the server will set a line Setting speed to 1.000000.
then i will freeze

I just updated to the newest version and I am able to move during the first round.
If i let the time run out so it goes to the next round I am still frozen, but if I do a restart round I can move as long as I dont changes weapons, I freeze.

download the hero files which are in following format : superman.amx , (anyheroname).amx etc. then upload them to your plugin directory, then add the name of each newely added hero to the plugin.ini file. be carefull the extra heroes, at least one of them, maybe more, has a bug that the server doesnt start so I suggest adding them one by one.

My Superhero server is running fine with only the superhero Punisher disabled.
The problem I am having is that my server crashes and is kicking/Dropping people alot.

I am running on a Dual Xeon 2.4, 1.5 mem, Debian OS, I have all the optimized binaries(i686).

The server has been running fine for the past 3 weeks as a Regular CS server with now special addons other thatn HLG.

sh_config.cfg and the ini are self explanatory but if u need help with anything specific post and I will do what I can. You can reset XP on the vault install of shero by going ahead and deleting the vault.ini in addon/amxx/configs/ it will be recreated with brand new XP. make sure you server is off when u delete it. then restart your HL server and you should be good to go. the extended heroes I myself explained some where in this post. read around.

And it seems to crash...

on page 12 i made an installer that has every single hero that there is in shshack.tk and shero forums! ALso on page 12 I have linked installers for original heroes and another installer with asskickr's heros.
I also have installers for other mods LOOK AT PAGE 12!

This means more then just the heroes that asskickr made.

I did not include the .sma, which I converted into amxx. But Still it has everyhero converted for amxx in the installer! And it has been tested by many people, and they all say it works!

I'll wait for a new version (If it's comming) and try it...

Till then, i'll have to have punisher & skeletor disabled :X

I most likely know what that is and I think its becuase there are:

A. TOO MANY HEROES/ which means amxx can't load all the things every hero wants to debug!

B. I fcked up somewhere in the coding with a hero! But I dnt know which hero!

I havn't really tried to find out which hero it is! I am sure it is on of the heroes in the extra hero section! Well I will find out which hero when I have the time, but I have
FINALS! GOD I HATE SCHOOL!

I will be able to do it this weekend though! I will have that problem fixed then!

My server keeps kicking out the clients with errors like this (think i've seen some others than this one too):

Disconnectet: Reliable channel overflow

Sometimes it takes all out the players, sometimes only the half of them.

i installed this mod no problems...excpet when i'm playing some super heros are missing liike night crawler and other random one...but when i make a server again maybe zeuz wont load... it says BAD LOAD in console also it says unkown but beside it it will say sh_zeus.amx is it because u can't have so many plugins going at once?? i think i have 55 going.... other wise all is good plz help

yeah Freeze time is ok, and the cant move after team wins.... why would you want to? lol i know its annoying but its just not practical to try to fix something if aint broke. and yeah its annoying when u cant move at round start but most ppl with the intelligence of a drugged mokey figure it out in a coupla rounds :twisted: , dunno punisher works fine for me, plz provide specs of server so maybe we can try to recreate this bug.

ALSO for kingpin my punisher will work fine on the first clip of ammo then on the second it goes SUPER FAST then crashes server... but everytime this has happend i've had batman and punisher maybe its a combo that makes the problem!?

... vault fails me again. in the morning I was playing and now all of a sudden the server stopped loading XP. I checked the vault file and all the names/S_ID's and xp is there its just not being loaded. I shut off the server and restarted it. still nothing. the following is my sh_config.cfg :

is this because its the 5th day you've been using the mod and it restarts xp??? because in yur config u set it to save for 5 days.. mine is set to 99999999999999999999 lol

also if it starts u at 0 just type amx_shaddxp "player(you)" "xp(999999)" id yur the admin ofcourse .. thats wat i do i get eerything :) :)

no i have had this mod on for quiet a little while now, it just does it randomly, thats Y I wish to switch to mysql cuz I know that works well even at a few thousand entries like my server has.
