I am very pleased to announce that we've finally released SourceMod 1.1. This is a major feature and improvement release.

Major highlights: New map management plugins
New reserved slots features
GameData updater
Community translations
Client preferences extension
Transparent debugger
You can get SourceMod 1.1 at the downloads page (http://www.sourcemod.net/downloads.php).
You can also get the release notes (http://wiki.alliedmods.net/SourceMod_1.1.0_Release_Notes) and upgrade instructions (http://wiki.alliedmods.net/Upgrading_SourceMod).

We will wait a few weeks before moving the web compiler to 1.1, since 1.1 plugins will not run on 1.0. We'll announce when this happens.

Please go here to report bugs (https://bugs.alliedmods.net/).

And now it's time for props: Matt "pRED" Woodrow, Scott "DS" Ehlert, and Matt "bl4nk" Schubert for helping to make this release possible.
Our generous donors! (http://www.sourcemod.net/halloffame.php)
LayeredTech (http://www.layeredtech.com/) for providing our build server.
Everyone who helped translate SourceMod (http://www.sourcemod.net/translator/?go=translate&op=status)

The snapshot, 1.2 is for L4D and its still beta because valve hasnt released the SDK yet. So more to add im guessing.

Congratulations!

It seems that I will be tired in making work of language file migration up for my servers.

Anyway, fantastic work! :)

The "auto updater" is for the gamedata files only, it doesn't update SM itself.

Thanks for the release guys =D

Old plugins will work with it or should i compiled everything again?

bl4nk

Old plugins shouldn't need to be recompiled as we maintain backwards compatibility throughout releases.

Will L4D work properly with this release?

Will L4D work properly with this release?

No. You must use 1.2 for L4D support

BAILOPAN

ayuki: Translations must be done through the translator tool. See:

http://www.sourcemod.net/translator/?go=translate

Which contains directions on how to get access.

Use your forum email address.

Te translation files aren't having the formats in them.
For example:
Base expression:
"Type sm_help to see more"
{
"#format" "{1:d}"
"en" "Type sm_help {1} to see more commands"
Translation file:
"Type sm_help to see more"
{
"hu" "Az sm_help {1} beírásával megnézheti a többi parancsot"
}

And because of this it will aper wrong.
...Or i did somethin wrong.

The formats are on the english language only, you don't need them in each and every language.

BAILOPAN

danielkza is correct.

ayuki: You didn't even read the directions on the translator page. Unfortunately we can't just take a dump of your files. If you want access to the translator tool, file a bug like it says.

The 1.2 snapshots are missing the translations.

How can i change the langue?
Or where should i set it?

DontWannaName

Theres a languages.cfg and I think you set the code for the language in core.cfg

PStar

Theres a languages.cfg and I think you set the code for the language in core.cfg

Yes, i tired it first but it didn't worked.
But i found the problem.
This cvar:
/**
* Enables or disables whether SourceMod reads a client's cl_language cvar to set
* their language for server-side phrase translation.
*
* "on" - Translate using the client's language (default)
* "off" - Translate using default server's language
*/
"AllowClLanguageVar" "On"I had to set it to "off" because our langue cvar wa english too because the game wsn't published in hungarian language for now. So Sm translated to en the language phrases but now its working :)

Another question, if i found a mistype i nthe translation, and i fix it in the translaton tool will the old stabel releas updated? or it will stil bee with hte odl translation prhrases?

BAILOPAN
01-01-2009, 12:18
DontWannaName: It's not that they're missing, but that they won't be added. It's a different branch and has a different set of phrases, and it's not string frozen. Note that even 1.1 snapshots will not have translations - only releases will.

PStar: Thanks for fixing the typo you found. It'll go into 1.1.1 and 1.2.

Hmm

sm_reserve_kicktype 1 = Highest Connection Time
Who provide such stupid idea? :D

I'm playing 1 hour and other person only 55 seconds. Person with the lowest connection time should be kicked :>

BAILOPAN
01-07-2009, 02:27
Then the person with the shortest amount of time would not have enough time to play.

CrAzD
01-07-2009, 10:59
There should atleast be an option for us to decide on highest connection time or lowest connection time.

I personally would rather have the person who has been on my server for an hour then someone who just connected, UNLESS that person is in spectator.

Does the SM set the plugins' language to the value on the cl_language? If yes, you should change the "Brazilian Portuguese" to "Portuguese", since the Steam don't have a "Brazilian Portuguese" translation.

Lebson506th
01-08-2009, 18:49
No, it sets it to the language in language.cfg in sourcemod/configs

The JCS
01-08-2009, 19:17
So, how do I set the language?

Lebson506th
01-08-2009, 19:23
Go to your server's moddir/addons/sourcemod/configs/core.cfg

and change "ServerLang"

BAILOPAN
01-08-2009, 23:12
Your client language is set to cl_language.

As always, use https://bugs.alliedmods.net/ for feature requests or bug reports.

Sorry for kicking this topic, but I thought the translations were meant so each client could have the strings displayed in their language, instead of the server language. I always wondered why that didn't work. If this is not the case I will indeed request it :)

BAILOPAN
01-19-2009, 12:31
That is what they're meant for. I'm not sure how I said something that could be construed otherwise.

DJ Tsunami
01-19-2009, 16:25
No, it sets it to the language in language.cfg in sourcemod/configs
I know you didn't say that, but that made me believe that SM would use the language set there, instead of the value of cl_language. I always included Dutch translations in my plugins, and my Steam is set to Dutch, but I always got the English phrases. I'm not sure what I did wrong then, but I'll look into it again tomorrow then.
