View Full Version : New to Metamod Need install help

Well i downloaded sourcemm-1.3 for windows. Now im haveing a problom with installing sourcemm-1.3

I rent from Clanservers and use windows.

This is what i did.

cstrike/addons/metamod/bin

I have a metamod folder with metaplugins.ini and a bin folder.

Next in the bin folder i have DownloadLists and modelsounds.cache and
scene.cache and server.dll.

My gameinfo.txt has this in the text.
SearchPaths

GameBin |gameinfo_path|addons/metamod/bin
Game |gameinfo_path|.
Game cstrike
Game hl2



Then i restart server and it starts.
Then i go into server and type "meta" in the server console
and it tells me unnown commaned.

So first did i install metamod right? Cause i read all install for hours.

Or did i do somthing wrong?
Need help Plz.

so to understand you're file structure looks like

cstrike
|_ addons
| |_ metamod
| |_ metaplugins.ini
| |
| |_ bin
| |_server.dll

yes thats the way i have it.
Am i missing somthing?

If it's for Windows, your slashes are pointing the wrong way. It should be:

GameBin |gameinfo|addons\metamod\bin

Btw, you don't have to use random colors in every post ;]

Well I changed the gameinfo to

GameBin |gameinfo|addons\metamod\bin
Game |gameinfo_path|.
Game cstrike
Game hl2


And also when i logon server and type "meta" or i"meta list" in the server console it tell me once again unnown commaned.
What am i doing wrong? Its gotta be something small and dumb:mrgreen:
The install looks so easy to install but so dam hard to get running:evil:

Attach your gameinfo.txt just to make sure.

Nope still dont work crap why is it so hard to run.
I have used this.

Got it to work man that waz a bitch to do.
