i learnt a litttle about the Multilingual
i love AMXX and i love my motherland,love my language-Chinese
before the Multilingual
we used 2 translate the plugins to Chinese,then recompile
but now the Multilingual appears
so,i'm looking forward 2 the Chinese version
my english is not very well
but i think i can do some esay translation
and i did some about Cs before
so,if there is something about this(i mean add a Chinese part 2 the Multi Language System of AMX X) what i can help u
i'll be not far away
i 'll do my best 2 do that
for Chinese and also for AMX X
it will be my favor

yes its a language package i seen they support korean so it must support chinese

in china,we've modified the CS mod,
it surely support Chinese
e.g.:we can give the server a Chinese name
just modified in the listenserver.cfg(i used listenserver much more :) )
then save the listenserver.cfg as UTF-8 mode
and we can translate a lot other things 2 Chinese,
later,we'll upload a picture here :)

i just want to prove that CS does support Chinese
and all we Cser in China should have a Amx x version which displayed info. in Chinese
the translation is not very difficult

to own our own version---the Chinese version

My opinion is, that all Metamod and AMXModX should support UTF-8 as native character set. Then there will be no more hussle with languages other than English and characters other than "roman" charactersets.
When Half Life 2 is out, then metamod2 has to support UTF-8 .

I wonder, is it possible to display Japanese as well, without setting your Steam client to some Chinese setting?

I tried simplified chinese and it loads steam but all text ingame is just like "? ? ? ?", maybe I lack some font or something... the steam browser itself displays the kanji correctly.

Then I try traditional chinese, but then Steam won't even load, but gives this message, maybe you can explain what it says:

the steam does support Chinese
we were very exited to see that
u can see Traditional Chinese
so u should see Simplified Chinese as well
maybe there're bugs in steam

i didn't try Japanese before
but CS:S does support Korean

there are so many Cs players in China
(although we're not expert )
and there are so many Cs playes using AMX mod X here
but the official release didn't contain Chinese version
(i wish there will be Chinese version later :) )
so we have to translate it ourselves
even this,
we're looking forward to that u will one day support Chinese

i played Cs:S beta just now

one thing to make me excited was:the Cs:S even support the player name to be written in Chinese
i made a screenshot at once

look at the picture
my name was "CS支持中文"
it means " CS supports Chinese"

呵呵，我不是啊
向导是前辈
偶以前也用过他的版本
不过，我想偌大的中国应该有自己的官方版本才对
所以希望官方能加入中文LANG文件
但是因为目前的SC.EXE还不能编译UTF-8文件
所以暂时还不可以，即将发布的0.2很有可能也不支持UTF-8
不过HL2和CSS都支持UTF-8
所以METAMOD和AMX X 支持也是早晚的事情

目前国内都在用第三方提供的汉化版本
所以AMX X也许并没有意识到提供中文版的必要性
不过以后一定会的！！！

我没有说AMX X 0.2不支持中文
只是AMX X无法编译UTF-8的文件
事实上汉化的方法大家都知道
在修改为UTF-8后你必须去掉标示文件类型的文件头
AMX X才会正常识别
这对汉化工作造成很多不便
我也做过汉化的工作
如果可以的话，希望我们可以一起做

the Multilingual System really helps me a lot
the translation work was rapidly reduced than before
it's not necessary to directly tranlate the .sma files
now the only thing u need to do is create or modify the files in the LANG dictionary
