Hello everyone!

Due to pastebin.com's continued downtime, we've put up a quick clone: http://ampaste.net/

Pastebin was used quite frequently on IRC in #amxmodx and #sourcemod, so we're hoping people will once again be able to easily share code without being g-lined for excessive flooding. We meant to launch this at CPL but lost track of the time. Thanks to Freecode for his design help. Start pasting! (http://www.ampaste.net/)

Second, we've removed CVS and converted to Subversion (SVN). While you will find the old CVS URLs still work, all future updates and commits will occur to the SVN Repository (http://svn.alliedmods.net/). You will find AMX Mod X located in /svnroot/amxmodx/trunk.

All other CVS repositories are being kept and we will continue to provide both CVS and SVN services. If you want your CVS repository converted to SVN, feel free to PM BAILOPAN or Damaged-Soul. DS has also kindly written a tutorial, readable on the wiki (http://wiki.amxmodx.org/index.php/Subversion_Tutorial). Updated source code download links are available on the downloads page (http://www.amxmodx.org/downloads.php).

Lastly, we've added a quick feature to user profiles -- you can now leave notes/comments. For example, click my profile (http://forums.alliedmods.net/member.php?u=2) and go to view user notes (http://forums.alliedmods.net/usernote.php?u=2). Enjoy!

we not use pastebin.ca?

*٭*its just as good, maybe even better!

have you actually used pastebin.ca? it's not based off the original pastebin. it lacks any sense of a good color scheme, auto-subdomain bins, saving to files, diffs, and just overall has a poor interface.

for this one we made a new UI, then duplicated most of the pastebin features (except diffs, which'll come later).

yeah I know but the new one doesnt have enough highlighting! (that's what I'm looking for in pastebins :P)

what's missing? the syntax files are all from the GeSHi project: http://qbnz.com/highlighter/

I stripped out some obtuse languages (like "Micro PC assembly"). However, If you make new ones or redo coloring, I'm willing to review them for inclusion.

My experience is that pastebin.ca doesn't have very good highlighting at all, everything ends up bleached out because of the bad theme.

yeah I agree that it doesnt look too good with the theme, but I feel like there's too much black when I look at source code with the new pastebin

Make sure you choose Pawn as the language when posting (if you want same syntax highlighting as on old forums).

Oh yeah, hehe, didn't see pawn listed, I thought it was already set to default... Cool!

I don't know if it's just me, but the area where you would paste your code is located to the right and under the recent posts, which makes it look funny. ;)

Good job though

I also want to bring up that i have made a script that will hide anything above the 500px x 131px limit in signatures. Its getting ridiculous having a 1 line post and a 20 line signature. I will also warn those that use moving images in there signature. if it disrupts me from reading the post i will have it removed.

Not sure if this is what he's seeing but this looks "funny" for me.
