Third-Person View - Tested with CS, should work with other mods though, requires engine

amx_nvx_3rdperson <nick or #userid> - Third Person View
amx_nvx_un3rdperson <nick or #userid> - Undo Third Person View (Go back to First-Person view)

Heh, nearly forgot, ADMIN_ADMIN access is required to set/unset it on a person (as for the laggy-ness involved)

This is really just a gimmick for when you get bored, also good for testing models :P cause yeah, its pretty hard to aim when in third person view, and of course the lag factor :P

no offence but i would not reccoment using this plugin on any server.
Its not your fault just 3rd person view lags servers like sh**

i know this is a amxx mod site.... i am looking that kind of plugin too (despirately) i want to use it.. can you make one for AMX, PLEASE, i think amx site doesn't have this plugin... i beg you....

well clarence your right this is the amxx site, now why would you want something for an old and almost defunct system i.e. amx? my honest suggestion to you is to switch to amxx and try out the nice plugins around here the way they are meant to be enjoyed ... on AMXX :)

okay i have to be honest... i like to use amxx but the problem is i don't know how to instal manually, so i was just wondering if you have any link for auto installer?

if not can you just give me a link the latest version of amxx and metamodx? if its ok with you? :D

yes both need metamod. www.metamod.org has the latest metamod which is 1.17.1

hmmm, i would port it for AMX, but yeah... ive never used AMX Mod, let alone scripted for it... :P

hello neo-vortex i try your 3rd person view plugin and yes it workd.. i have a simple problem... every time i fire (3rd person view already) the screen shakes up & down, up & down? how come? :D :D

ok, i just checked, my screen done no shaking what-so-ever, nor did the crosshair move (although it did expand), the bullet marks on the wall did go up and then across, but thats just recoil...

lag... hmmm, not sure, as for im not really sure of what kind of lag it creates, ive only tested via lan on good box's, so yeah, i dunno if there was any lag, and what kinda stuff, etc, but yeah, ive been told from other people that it causes alot of lag, so yeah, use with caution... :P

ugh... i hate thirperson anyway, ur character blocks most of the screen, lol but it is good for when some1 tries to sneak up behind u with a knife :D

actually, it wont... it will be in third person when played back (i tried this awhile ago to show to some friends :P)

also, dosent the player look semi-transparent on your box? cause it does on mine, plus, its more of a gimmick and testing thing rather than anything else, its wierd to move, etc, but would be good for knifing (I had a round of knifing in 3rd, it was wierd :P)

I currently have it running on my server and I have no problem with lag at all, but once the map changes and I try to turn players third person or myself it says Server Shutting Down and my server restarts. Not sure why it does that.

*EDIT* I guess the visibility is set by the amxx engine in thirdperson view.

ALSO - This plugin does not lag, although players may complain it looks "glitchy" sometimes, I think it's more of a problem with animation.

when i try to start your script, my server chrashes, and it says that it cant find models/rpgrocket.mdl or somethin' :( , oh, and i edited this script a little bit, i changed the required access, from admin, to admin_kick :)

hey I put this plugin in my server and when I try to use it it says access denied? I have full admin, what letter do you need to be able to use this plugin because I have them all. Whats admin_admin access that you mention at the beginning? let me know, later.

When I use to have that problem, but, if you use the command through rcon it won't say that.

Cool mod man, This makes cs fun cause its a different view, I think playing in first person for 5 years can get a little boring, With this its a little more fun.

Only problem though is there seems to be a lag on it and its impossible to play, When you use 3rd person from some hacks it doesnt have any lag on the turning and stuff.

if you can fix that up some how then this would be perfect :)

You just have to change the Access flag.

Just use the .sma I posted.
You have to have "c" in you access level for ADMIN_KICK in your user.ini

it seems my amxx studio is crashing everytime i compile, just changed the flag to ADMIN_RCON, it also crashes when i just open the file and try to compile without changes,
how is this possible? any idea's on how to get it compiled with adminflag rcon?
