ok running HL2MP, mp_teamplay 1, enabling Source MM(no plugins) screws up the teamplay, forcing everyone to be on team unassigned as if it were just deathmatch instead of team deathmatch
side effect of this is Mani freaking out, shoot anyone and get slain or kicked for tk/team wound
ty for your time

From what it sounds like, your running another server plugin along with SourceMM and that is conflicting with each other.
Have you tried disabling all server plugins (ones that run on SourceMM and ones that dont) but SourceMM and get the same problem?
I've run sourcemm (0 plugins). along with mani, nemod and eventscripts. Latest versions. On windows xp without any problems.
edit: css sever. Guess that the big diff. sorry.
tried it without mani as well, same thing, no other plugins running
ichthys, read my post carefully, reproduce the setup EXACTLY, and you WILL have this issue

This is apparently a hl2dm bug. Try this:
mp_teamplay 1 on the server
then connect, and type mp_teamplay in your console. Its still 0. Tried this with and without mm:s, the server is not sending this cvar to the client.
well it takes a map change for this to even take effect so that cvar is definitely a bit bugged.

i have no trouble whatsoever with the mp_teamplay cvar, never have, WITHOUT sourcemm enabled
WITH sourcemm, i get the above results
