If you are running 2 computers through a router, does that change your bandwith if 1 computer is running a Source server, and the other is playing in it? or is your bandwith always the same

Shouldn't be a problem for bandwidth because you will be playing on the LAN and not the public side of the router, the router wont even have to do Nat. You will need to connect using the private IP address though. My guess is you will probably get 100mbps and use very little of your internet bandwidth.

Well it depends on the situation that your in.
Situation A :
Your running on a server on one computer and your running a client on another.
There should be NO lag at all. Your server only has one client connected to it and it is thought a LAN connection.
Situation B :
Your running on a server on one computer and your running a 100 clents on other computers
There should still be NO lag at all. Your server should be giveing all clients around a 3 ping or less. But this is due to the hardware of the computer not the network.
Sutuation C :
Your running a server on one computer and your running a client on the same network plus anther 31 clients outside of that network.
Unless you have a T1 or better line your should start seeing some lag on the clients outside of the network while you, on the inside of the network, will not lag
