PS! I can see some mods in beta, nice... If you are using CmdX on CSS (or on 1.6), be ware of the big security problem giving someone with admin access also rcon access...

Don't know if you remember this post on AMX Mod X's private forums...

If we also changed the Small engine to become a "module" instead (with forward functions and exported engine functions) and the core functions implemented as regular C/C++ functions (instead of Small natives directly) plugins could then be coded in C/C++ as modules.
We could also create new modules allowing plugins to be written in other languages such as Perl


This API would require a lot of thought though, so it is something to keep in mind for HL2 AMXx

Well, this is essentially what led to SourceMod; I couldn't stop thinking about this architecture since then ;)

So... thanks for yet another great idea. As usual, you're more than welcome to join us, even if just to see what's going on :)
