Finally! The wait is over! The full HL2 SDK has been released just minutes ago. Here is the qote from the steampowered.com news page. This is great news to all the hl2 communities.

Half-Life 2/Source SDK

Includes game code needed to create Half-Life 2/Source MODs

New Half-Life 2 sample character model

Ability to edit Half-Life 2 maps

Maya model exporter

3d Studio Max model exporter source code

Sample MOD with vehicles
To get it to load, start up your old pre-released version of the SDK and it will auto-update.

not only is the full sdk out the metamod like stuff was added just like Alfred said he would :D

it looks like you need a simple config file but no more need for matamod.ini :D

you copy it from windows.

You need to copy it from a Windows install.
