Was just curious if anyone else was making a mod similar to this, does anyone know of one?

Ah! Great news! Good that there are alternatives to SourceMod. Gives the ppl choice and hopefully creates a friendly competetive environment...

It's nice to see them trying.. but I'm wondering how many people are going to choose it over this. I think adminmods always been missing some features, IMO. Some of them I can see reasons for, but others just don't make much sense to me.

Yea I did some reading on their site yesterday, I didnt' realize that adminmod is like STRICTLY for administration only, not like fun things (i.e. changing entitiies, gameplay, etc....).

Hopefully all will use metaeng (it is the "new" metamod, am i right?), otherwise it will be a hell of a mess :S

Edit: There will be some kind of builtin plugin interface, how will that work? is it still better to develope a separate interface like metaeng?

Edit2: Im stupid, answered by bailopan some posts down :]

Well from the hints that Admin MOd have on their website, MetaEng would just become another plugin to the "Source Engine Plugin Interface (SEPI)" ?

SEPI is what Florian likes to call the Metamod architecture for HL2 ;]

MetaEng is only a portion of SourceMod - it's the plugin and module interface.

SourceMod is what will plug into SEPI.

Too many things going on at once ;]

I used to think that guy at the circus who could juggle 8 balls was amazing.

He's got nothing on Bailopan and the rest of the developers!!!

Big thanks for all your work, done and pending, so I can run a few servers with the rules and mods I like!!

YOU GUYS RULE!!!!

Then i get it, "MetaEng" sounded so similar to Metamod ;] Confusing.

A friend and myself are. Private though and will be for testing purposes only for the time being.

Yea Adminmod is basically no fun things, I have always prefered amx or amdmodx on my server. But I will definetly use Sourcemod when it comes out if it plugins like before can be created :) .

I would love to see warcraft III on source, with the possiblities Source has opened up, I think it would improve that plugin 100x more.

I also heard something about a "amx source" but this was in a private message and I dont know how reliable this info is.

SEPI sounds like SETI and that makes me laugh (SETI = Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence)

SETI reminds me of when I made that "wonder" in civilization 2

I havent been reading the topics first page :).

anyway, I think adminmod is working on one, but thats for the more serious servers, since it doesnt really use fun modules to its best as amx does.
