as a sidenote, the valve back catalog, includes every halflife based game theyve released, includeing Condition zero, which i assume also includes Deleted Scenes

89$ is a helluva lot of money for a PC game. Sure it's the most anticipated game in history (for me at least;-)) but it's almost like a *shudder* Gamecube game!

I haven't decided myself yet. I don't think I can go lower than silver package. I'm just not sure I need a Hl2 hat :-)

This is also feeling weird because you can't prebuy HL2 in stores yet (not here, at least). I wonder what will happen in the Valve<->Sierra battle. I believe all money are going to Valve with anything they sell through Steam. Poor Sierra.

I'll buy the Bronze retail equivalent.
I won't probably really play DoD or the other modes (well, except ricochet maybe) and I don't need a HL2 hat or a complete game guide either.
The only thing that I really wanted from Silver is HL1: Source, but oh well, I think I'll be able to live without it.

It is cheaper than silver and I wouldn't buy silver anyway because it's not available as a retail box and I don't want to waste my internet bytes :)

i've never played hl2....atm i don't even want it, all i want is cs:s, and you can't get that by itself -_-

I got the silver package. I'm not that interested in getting all the stuff that comes with Gold. CS:S is great (despite lack of models and various other things) but it will get better as updates come. And I'm really looking forward to DOD:S as well, so that's why I got the silver. HL:S will be a nice addition too.

I am only interested in natural selection so the basic one that I already pre-paid for when i traded in some old games at gamestop suits me fine.

The extra stuff is neat, but mostly just marketing (unless the soundtrack is really cool which i doubt).

i know im crazy... but im a huge of a fan so... i bought the collectorz edition and gold... im crazy... lol almost 200$ in one game nice mark keep it up... ow and i gave 50$ to sourcemod and i dint get the donartor thing :( THAT SUCKS hope the 50$ will make this mod GOOD!

I bought the Gold cause I wanted HL1 Source and DoD Source and because it wasn't a big step up from the Silver package and actually included cool stuff like a T-shirt, Box, etc.

lol yeah i know im crazy... i buy games just for the box... i bought this game called shadow ops red mercury and i played 5 seconds died, then i was like meh its shit, uninstall lol i have like too many games...
