Request: QuikEskape [Archive]

QuikEskape is a hero that starts with a p228 which shoots 2 types of bullets:

red ones
yellow ones (normal)

first clip is just red bullets, they follow enemies with a turning force of 5° at level 0, but at highest level the turning force can be up to 50°, these bullets are only shot in one of 5 bullets.

since the velocity of the bullets is so high, 50° probably wont hit alot unless there are just a few cms away anyways, but you could decrease velocity by 0.1% or increase to 170° turning force, which would make the vectors go insane, but still have a chance if hitting something, like ground, or the player.

HSmultiplier should be set to 0.5 and the bullets vectors should aim for the head.

thanks :) I got flamed alot on the last superhero mod forum (like... 7 months or so, before the update) because all my hero ideas were rips, but quite frankly they were excactly like the real heros (comics, episodes)

ive got so many ideas in my head, like a hero that replaces walls with clearwalls (wallhack)

actually i toyed with the idea of making "follow bullets" myself, Was attempting to rip the code from the hornet gun in HL, but I just ended up confusing myself more than anything else (although it did help me alot in other aspects, and i think if i spent enough time on it i could do it) However the LOGICAL thing to do would be to browse around the bazooka code and the Neo reloaded code, using the flame seeking missles and the neo bullet entities you should be able to do it...

make no mistake, it is quite a complicated plugin, but a good idea, something actually worth doing :P

prowler, why dont you make it (give just a little credit for me for the idea) and put it on your server, because the vectors would be lots of fun, especially if you add xavior typed tails on the end of the bullets! (woah not thick ones though)

Well When u put it like that.. it does sound quite possible.. cause they also have "rope" seeking missiles.. that follow a person who uses spiderman, & batgirl (stuff like that). That's a favorite of mine.

Hopefully someone can make this hero, alot of people on my server are telling me to get more heros.. and i already have the mass majority of heros that are good, and that work, the rest are crap, and arn't worth getting, or they're just completely broken..

i believe i can give this hero a shot. i just read the post like 5 minutes ago and i was overwhelmed by the sheer though of having a hero that could do something like this, although when i read the first couple posts i realized that curving the bullets is impossible as valve doesn't give us really the option of tinkering with that... but what if we negated the effect of the normal bullets( such as done with neo reloaded) and like neo add our OWN bullets (possible using neos as well?) and using bazooka's rope and jet pack seeking capability i know i can do this... (or maybe im too overconfident?)

curving bullets at that speed would be impossible, but if theres a way of slowing them down, or actually another way we can do this withought riping it off neo(cause it would look more realistic) please, someone let me know.

I reckon you should slow them down, but accelerate them or something so that the speed actually works like real bullets, of course, they wont be direct, but they will follow something notheless...

it would look realistic if you just take away the green trails, and perhaps ad a thinner, bullet trail to it.

actually amx dotn let u mess around with bullets. i cant curve bullets, slow them down, or manipulate them in any way. what i can do is negate their effects and add bullets of my own(like the neo hero). but the thing is it will have to be like a plugin kinda because it will have to negate EVERYONE's bullets and make new ones for everyone. i just have to change the bullet tracers for the one that has the hero and make the bullets curve. hey btw how do we get the source code for monsters in hl? i wanna c agrunt : /

well if you fool around enough with the variables then eventually you can create it the way it should be, but i know that the early stages would be pretty screwed.

btw it would look much nicer if we went by neo because ppl could actually c the bullets comming...
(i dunno would the tracers and new bullets be a cause for too much lag?)

It wouldnt cause too much lag but if youre no 56k youre gonna need a better connection. I think using neo is a great idea, except not using neos green, and neos bullets look a little flat - not to mention.

this hero is a pretty good idea, i like it, and yes neo DOES look like he has fake bullets, thin it up and it'll look nice or do wut they did on The Specialists Mod....those slowed down bullets are AWESOME

i think it doesnt go like freecode said. cause how do you gonna ad a code for increasing your angles of control for each level you reach. Maybe its possible for vittu, jtp or freecode or a other superhero coder, but it wont be easy
