Lvl change in 1.17.1 + Server crash

How come I cant change Levels on it?
- I have edited Superheromod.inc...
shall i compile it or something or what?

I have set it to 15lvls but it keeps showing up with only 10... :?

Any help?

The "error" (kinda) is when i change map or just opens the server....

did you add the new compiled file to your plugins.ini

superheromod.amx

and remove the old one which would be something like

superheromodvault.amx

also make sure you have 15 levels defined in your superhero.ini

The config file has nothing to do with the avaliable levels.

If you turn on debug mode you can watch as the server starts and it will show you as it loads the levels from the ini file.

the vault and mysql versions of the plugin are both superheromod.amx renamed, you can compile it for vault or mysql. It is defaulted to vault.

it has ALWAYS ALWAYS SINCE THE BEGINNING OF TIME been like that, but in the past the disabled heros vanished off the menu. Now it just shows them as disabled.

when i put the new SH mod on ppl complains about it since they can see it...

So im still using the old one and and for some reason my server crashes when it reaches 10slots (total slots is 10)

someone else was havig this prob because they were trying to load AMXX heros on an amx server.

yeah but im running 100% amx mod files...

I had my own server on my own computer before and i just moved thoose files (my own server did gr8 with no crash)
and when it reaches 10players my 24/7 server crashes :(

disable superhero and see if it stops.... by disabling I mean comment it out in the plugins.ini and change maps

cuz my server is known as SH and when ppl see's it change name they wont enter...

i still get:

Thats not true I got tons of bugs and errors in my server yet i could always get 2 of them full to 16 out of 16 strange isnt it?

please try disabling batman and ANY non-stock heros you have installed.

The only stock hero that could have this bug is batman and I just fixed it here for the next version. Let me know how that goes.

Also.... what AMX verison are you running? I suspect a lot of peoples recent problems are form using old crappy amx versions.

Don't tell me 0.9.7 cause thats not an actualy rls version #

0.9.6j or 0.9.8a is what I'm looking for.... 0.9.6j being a bad idea.

A friend of mine was working on a server and was getting this crash sometimes also. I checked it out and he had outdated metamod and AMX installed. I updateds it toew MM 1.17.1 and amx 0.9.8a and we will see if it happens again. I tested making my demo server full with 9 bots then me and it worked fine. I am running the newest stuff also.

its not superhero.... not anything that comes with it. I can tell you that much.

It must be some other hero you have installed or possibly some other plugin.

Please post your plugins.ini and I will see if it might be one of the other heros.

Or if you dont mind binring your server down for a few hours we could talk on AIM some day.... I could install podbot and we could fill the server with bots and test different situations and see whats making it crash. I did this on my server with 10 slots and the stock heros and I didn't get any crashing.

Also Please make sure when you updated your superhero you installed ALL the new hero plugin files as well. A lot of them have been changed a little.

- and i found out that somethings wrong with my SHmod...
cuz i disabled it and it worked with 10players...

- And my server can only be set to 10players...
so thats the max and as you can see it can get full when SH mod is disabled...

ok try disabling every hero that uses xtrafun...
you can tell by the line #include <xtrafun> at the top of a heros sma
although its probably like almost all the heros

actually an easier way would be to just disable the xtrafun module.

edit the modules.ini and edit it out, a bunch of heros will get bad loads but it wont hurt the server. I *belive* these issues are being cause by some heros doing bad things with xtrafun, windwalker being one of them.

yeah you will get a shitload of errors but only at map changes, it wont hurt the server, the plugins that need it just will disable themselves.

I have no idea.... it could be any hero doing bad bad things. Try disabling xtrafun and see if that stops it because I was getting that error for a short time and disabling xtrafun fixed it. This is tweaked windwalker and it stopped. I mght try putting the old windwalker back on and see if I can get the error again.

I use AMXmod 0.9.8 & SuperHero Mod 1.17... But it crashes too when i use 1.17.1 or 1.17.2...

Should i still recompile it with the Compiler in amx 0.9.9?

If you are using version 0.9.8, compile it with that compiler. There shouldn't be any differences BUT that is a posibility.

Great news!!

I just removed everything from the server right...

I installed metamod v1.17.2 , Amxmod 0.9.8Pre-Alpha & Superhero mod...
( i installed them again so the hole thing was clean )

The server runs fine with it on 10players (max slots)

So eighter it was something wrong with my Heros or eighter my Compiler or my Metamod (wasent the newest, it was 1.17.1)

But it works clean and fine now...

What shall i do now?
Add each hero 1 by 1 or...?
or what shall i do jtp10181...

yeah I would say to add maybe one or 2 heros a day and make note of which ones you added. If it crashes then figure out which was was doing it.
