Alandarev has posted exactly your request previously, though it would be hard maybe to have searched it up I keep an eye on that guy. :D

His posting deals with displaying health bars overhead and with changing the image to relate to how much hp the person has it will get you started easily. Every example you need to cut and paste your own solution is available there.
