It looks like Scream Fortress broke 'm_bGlowEnabled'. It's still being set correctly, but the glow doesn't appear.

Does anybody know the new way of making players glow?

EDIT: Solved by the 11/5/2014 TF2 update.

You can parent an entity to the player that does allow glow, like a wearable/building or flag/cart type objective

I just checked the netprops today though, and it still showed up under CTFPlayer...
In addition, Shadow has verified that it doesn't work for friendly players either.

I've run into this problem as well and am assuming it is an unintended "feature" of the update.

Made a Github bug on the matter and have shot off an email off to Valve in the overly optimistic hope that they fix it.

I just tried using tEntDev to troubleshoot this by picking up the intel. m_bGlowEnabled is still being set when you pick it up, so I don't know why it's only working for Valve and not plugins. All the other netprops that were logged were your basic angle/velocity/anim/etc. changes.

Fixed by the latest TF2 update. At least that's what it looks like in the patch notes.
