If anyone could add new translations or, if needed, correct any of the existing ones for LAN Notifier (http://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?t=24429), I would appreciate it immensely. I am updating this post as I get additions and corrections so that no one has to wade through the responses to see if something was already done.

These are the phrases that need to be translated...
[en]
TAG_CHANGED = Your name was changed to ^"L%i:^" to correctly identify the LAN you are on.
TAG_CHANGED_FUZZY = Your name was changed to ^"L%i:^" to correctly identify the LAN you appear to be on.
TAG_ADDED = ^"L%i:^" was prepended to your name because you are playing on the same LAN as another player.
TAG_ADDED_FUZZY = ^"L%i:^" was prepended to your name because you appear to be playing on the same LAN as another player.
TAG_REMOVED = ^"%s^" was removed from your name because you are not on the same LAN as any other player.

I used "added" for "prepended" because I didn't really know what prepended means and from the definition I read it was similar to that.

Of the officially supported languages in AMXX, these are the only ones left to do for this plugin: cz, da, fr, pl, sr, sv, tr

If anyone can help do those translations, it would be very helpful!

Hi ppl. I always try to translate words at the same way that we talk (or chat) in real life and everyday. First that all, a translation for plugins and this kind of stuffs should be Informal and not Formal. This is only my point of view. But i will give you an example for all (for someone should be usefull)

Example:[EN=ES]
YOU could be Tu (Informal) or Usted (Formal)
Like You Have Die! = Tu Has Muerto or Usted Ha Muerto is the same.
But in a all day talk, we cut that Tu or Usted and we say Has Muerto!
Hmm. Anyway, I will keep helping amxmodx with translates. :wink:

BTW - Kylix, does LAN have a gender?
mmm Yes and No. Because LAN stand for Local Area Network so in Spanish it will be Red de Area Local.
Network=Red and it's female gender so "The LAN = La LAN"Id go with KylixMynxAltoLAG ... Look at his avatar.Lol, what do you mean? :roll:

ok, that's all. and I will try to keep learning more about english, because sometimes it's hard to me to explain some kind of things. Just let me know if someone have too much problems to read my Non-Teached English :?

The main thing is that your english ist understandable, no one really cares that much about grammar or the spelling (as long as it's not too bad ^^). Thank God, otherwise I guess my english would have to be corrected many many times :lol:

And about your translation: 100% agree, I always try to do it the same way when I translate to german (Usted=Sie, Tu=Du). It's important that the translation is understandable and fits in the situation ;-)

Lucky english-speaking-people, they just have [you] and no polite form of address :lol:

I agree with Curryking... You do just fine with your English and you translate the way I'd like them to be translated. Not necessarily word for word but by the meaning of the phrase.

In the current ISO standards, it is DK. I believe it was previously DA and that's what AMXX has it as. Therefore, we need to use what AMXX has.

Now I'm just in need of: cz, fi, fr, sr, sv, tr. Which isn't to say that I wouldn't gladly accept translations in other languages as well. The ones I listed are just the ones officially supported by AMXX.

I'm in need of those translations and a bit more time so I can fix what I believe to be the last outstanding issue with it before I release the plugin.

Some things are badly spelled. Correcting them.

I don't think swedish translations are so popular cuz we can't use "åäö", so it doesen't really matter.
"po", "pa" big difference...? you would still read it as "på".

Sorry, i would change the german translation for TAG_REMOVED
into

because the actual translation says "as every other player."
If CurryKing agrees with it?

Actually anssik, you had translated "LAN" into "kotiverkko", which is actually "lahiverkko". So as a correction to the finnish translation:

kotiverkkosi --> lahiverkkosi
kotiverkossa --> lahiverkossa

But it's quite the same word. no big difference anyways. ;)

"po", "pa" big difference...? you would still read it as "på".
