For the next version we will be distributing:
glibc 2.2 compiled against Won, Steam
glibc 2.3 compiled against Won, Steam
win32 compiled against Won, Steam

For the final version there will be an x86-64 (amd64) compile. Currently we only have x86-64 compiles of MetamodX.

I believe they are going to have an intermediate 0.15 release within the next day or two. Although I wouldn't mind if they took their time with the next release and fixed more bugs and compatablility issues.

We also are removing the libstdc++ requirement.

I would also say about the same thing, in a few days, I dont think any one person has found any seroius bugs in beta 1, soo some code optimaztion and a few fixes and 0.1.5 should be released.

So AMX Mod X will not work on my brand new AMD64 Bit Server? :?
The new Metamod will work (after I renamed the binary metamod_x64.so to metamod_amd64.so though!), but the new AMXX Mod will not load.

These are my Libs:

compat-libstdc++-devel-7.3-2.96.118
libstdc++-3.3.2-1
compat-libstdc++-7.3-2.96.118
libstdc++-3.3.2-1
libstdc++-devel-3.3.2-1

And yeah, I am running it under Linux Fedora Core 1 AMD64.

AMXX is 32bit

the AMXX team and the AdminMOD team are working on makign a 64 bit compiler for both systems.

AMX Mod X cannot run on a 64bit metamod.

AMX Mod X is currently not ported to a 64 architecture because of how the Small Abstract Machine works.

AMX Mod X is only a wrapper which translates Small calls into Half-Life engine calls. The internal processor which does this is the "Small Abstract/Virtual Machine" which is basically a tiny virtual microprocessor, with its own assembly language and registers. The Small Machine is based on a 32bit architecture, which means to add support for a 64bit architecture, core sections of the machine need to be rewritten. This is no small or easy task, however, it is a goal. When we do get a 64bit version working, you will know.

Thanks for the answer guys. I guess I'll have to play without AMX Mod for a while, too bad...

Is there no way I can add AMX Mod in some way?

Lol you don't need AMX Mod, this IS AMX Mod - a newer version of it.

I know, AMXX Mod is the new AMX mod.
Can you give me some indication about a 64bit release? Weeks? Months? Years? I mean, my HL server runs really great on the new AMD64, with 12 people connected the cpu stil only has a load of about 0.2 %!!! :shock:
