[TF2] How to use item colors in chat tag

i recently found out that
in TF2 \x06 will display the last item color.

in other words if any item discover(trade, craft etc) notice has been issued, that item's color will be used.


Can you use change this item color without alerting the chat area?

No, the colour to use in chat is only set as it is printed.
