View Full Version : Amx X mod
Posting again saying my virus scanner detected virus i looked it up and said it was a trojan ur amx x mod has a trojan unless you can explain that its a glitch in my system.
hmmm... :) i dont think so unless BAILOPAN is evil and includes a trojan in every release ;]
Also i have actully downloaded al lthe versions apart from the 0.98 and glibs and they all have the trojan Revop.B, although it could be a glitch but, it has it in all of them and have typed it into google and mcaffee database fidning it to be a trojan.
not to forget the amx x mod aswell but guess same code and vertully the same copied and few modifications.

Are you saying we've given out over 26,600 viruses? That CS Nation, Counter-Server, and numerous Game Server companies have propogated this virus?
To answer your question, I am the release engineer/packager, I run Norton AntiVirus (corporate, lifetime updates, LEGALLY) with auto-protect enabled.
I can assure you that you are the only person who has ever stated there was a virus in the package. Your attitude is a tad arrogant and offensive. If I were you, I'd use Norton AntiVirus or McAffee (one of the major distributions of Anti Virus software). If you really think there is a virus, don't use AMXx. It's your perogative.

I blame your system
Lets put it this way.. there are thousands, if not tens of thousands of copies of Amx and Amxx running on servers.. if it had a virus/trojan you wouldn't be the first person to say so.
I just scanned it with my av:
Avast Antivirus, which is up to date (see below)
Information about current update:
Total time: 4 s
- Vps: Already up to date
(current version 0419-0)
Server: download4.avast.com (216.12.202.5:80)
Downloaded files: 3 (0.03 KB)
Download time: 2 s
Nothing at all was detected.. I would guess your system is infected.
Theres no real way that its infected, and no else see's it
Also, in your other post you said the LINUX version was infected.. yet thats a WINDOWS virus.. Tbh, I don't know of any successful (and up-to-date) viruses for linux.
So.. next time, try harder
Avast! is pretty good, I run it on my 2 Win2k boxes and my XP one.. its free, and hasn't failed to catch anything yet

Hell even Trend Micro's Housecall is pretty good at finding viruses and I dont even run that if not needed.
If AMXX had a virus, then my server host would have already told me to remove it and never use it again.

Flukker yes BAILOPAN made theses packages with a special programm that will attack computers with your IP and thats because you whine about the non-existing virus.
