Name change

hello i have been having hackers in my server that would change there name exactly to someone elses name. and i would like a plugin to stop this from happening.
they do not change there name every seconds they just change it to one persons name.

i tried this plugin but it did not work

lol that's not hacking :)) it's pretty easy to add a space after it and you'll notice in chat or kill notices, try: "Ade %" and you'll see; there are some special chars that make the name act different by their own or in a pair, surrounding other chars (experiment with #, % and &). don't think any plugin will work for all cases since there's so many ways to add spaces to a name

as you can see from this 2 year old pic and people still do it these days using % but for fun :>
if you don't like it, you can put it in rules and when someone does it, kick/ban after a warning for not reading the rules..?

I guess he meant that the hacker(s) were changing name to an existing name for an other player, so banning/kick would be harder via !admin :D

It's easy to spot which player was logged on earlier in the SourceMod ban menu, because the first person to join will have a lower userid (these are displayed next to names).

If they continually change names to avoid punishment, there are other plugins to address that, such as Name Change Punisher.
