[TF2] A Small Suggestion: Is It Possible?

Okay, so as most Team Fortress 2 veterans know, you were able to modify the items_game.txt file client-side and server-side; thusly, people were able to create servers with modified weapons. However, in one of the recent updates, this functionality was removed; servers now receive items_game.txt via HTTP schema. Would there be a way for mods to undo this removal, and have players load the server-side items_game.txt? (I'm aware TF2Items exists, and that it can edit items in a similar fashion; but, it just isn't the same.)

i don't see the difference between using the items_game.txt and the tf2items extension....
with tf2items you can still give special weapons and edit them.... :P

there was only 1 good thing in editing items_game.txt serverside. You were able to make custom sets (eg: backburner+axtinguisher+flaregun=bonus).

Thought I'd bump this one more time to see if it could be done; I'd like to see servers with modified weapons again, and maybe ones with modified sets too.
