Forgive me if Im wrong but I believe amx_slots reserves one as a sort of "on-deck"slot thus removing one playable slot from a server. ex: If you have a a 16 player server, chance are you are apying $3-$5 for that slot and if you have even 1 reserved slot you can only then have up to 15 people on your server.

Am I right about this?

What I would like to see is a plugin that allows reserved access members in, without using one of the playable slots. I think AMX had one called simple slots but Im not sure if it did this.

Or if there is one that does this please enlighten my ignorance.

ya, this works but doesnt. What I mean is, you have to edit your server command line to 1 more player then you want.

For example I run a 24 person server, if I use any of the reserved slot plugins out there including the builtin one for adminmod I have to use 1 slot as a checking slot.

This limits my slots to 23.

I need one that checks who you are and doesnt do it by connecting you to a non usable slot.

Is there such a thing?

Ask Qwerty, I *know* his doesn't require an extra slot, it requires you to connect from the console though - steams menu's wont work.
I'm fairly certain it was simple slots though

lol, is his simple slots or is it called something else? and is it oon the downloads page.

I tried f117's and simple slots and they both require you to set the server 1 up from the normal number of slots.

Unfortunately I cant do that; I asked the guy who operated our server and he said the 24 slots you pay for are yours to do as you please. So he cant really make it technically a 25 even if there are only ever 24.

Where is yours qwerty?
