Zombification event

Is there an event for zombification? Like Zombie Mod has?

I need a way to set a var once the first zombie has spawned.

No, but you could check the weapon name in player_death event. It's zombie_claws_of_death when people are infected.

But that doesn't get triggered by the mother/spawn/first zombie correct?

I need to know the exact time the first zombie is spawned into the game..
