Getting Rid of Red Nightvision?

Is it possible to do this, and just have a custom overlay, it seems like theres an overlay (with the blood), then a second overlay which is somehow built into the nightvision.

I just want to have an overlay without the red.

Take a look at overlay_path and nvgs class attributes. You can use another overlay material, but make sure it's listed in downloads.txt too.
