I have been using Pawn Studio but I am so fucking sick of it crashing, and finally after numerous stupid crashes it finally actually screwed up one of my plugins badly tonight and im fed up with it.

Interested in what you guys are using. I know some use MSVC/Notepad++/Editplus/etc. Let me know what you use, because I am sick of this piece of shit IDE.

hehe, I used Notepad for years. I used to do all of my html/php/etc coding in it. I finally started using MSVC when I did c++ and Pawn Studio for sourcemod and it made life so much easier. I am just so sick of the freaking thing crashing constantly.

Bl4nk, yeah I downloaded Editplus when you mentioned it a while back. Didnt care for coding in it too much though. Nice for editing things however.

Yeah, I'm thinking about switching over to MSVC from Editplus. There's so much that I use when I'm in MSVC writing extensions that I wish I could use when I write plugins.

Yeah, thats basically how I feel about Pawn Studio. The features are amazing, everything I could possibly need is right there. The catch is that it will go 4 hours without crashing, then crash repeatedly for an hour.

Notepad++ is the king of Windows editing, IMO.

I use gVim for everything. It is one of the few editors that is available for windows, linux, solaris, unix and just about every other OS known to man. I even have syntax files for it that I have uploaded to the foums here.

Of course, the fact that I spend all day at work in Solaris might have something to do with that. If I use anything else, I find extra i's all over the place ;)
