I've searched for it, but found out that AlliedModders doesn't have an IRC channel?! This is a big organization combining the most exciting CS and CS:S server mods ever seen.

AM should definately have an IRC channel. There you could get help fast and easy, and admins could talk about forthcoming updates and so on.

For start I made #alliedmodders @ Quakenet and I've put a bot there to protect the channel so it doesn't get taken over as we speak. After we get a few users up 'n running there, we can get the official L bot and later maybe Q bot for bigger channels. I will of course make ops out of the admins here in AM.

Indeed, since the community is very much split into the separate projects, it seems wiser to keep everything in separate channels by project.

Well, I can see the channel being used as a general channel where the entire community could congregate in one channel and get to know each other. Maybe even a Q and A channel. That's just my two cents, but it's probably not going to happen for reasons already known by the admins/mods.

While I'm talking like AMXX + SM + SH + other projects that join AM. But like I said, it's not going to happen and ultimately pointless (as you so kindly pointed out).
