Back in 2004-2005 I joined a The Specialist 2.1 server that had this Japanese mod. You could select 1 out of 4 classes (Shinobi, Kendo, Bushido, etc) and you had to kill Half-Life monsters.

It took place in a custom map that reflected Edo Japan. You also gained EXP by killing the monsters that would grant you access to more abilities in the class. It was hard.

I'd love to play this mod again, does anyone know where to find it?

Last I heard the famous XxAvalanchexX made the mod and it was called Japan RP. Sadly I can't find it anywhere as he's left the modding scene. Also his website is down. Maybe one of you have an old drive with the plugins/maps on it?

Or just go search hardmode.
