I did everything the same as i always do when there is update , even with the new cssdm.games.txt , when i join the server and try to select the weapon from cssdm menu, it crashes any ideas ? btw im running the server on windows

tried:
reinstal the server
checked if mm sm is working

here it is , btw i tried sm 1.4.3 as well as 1.4.4 , same goes with cssdm , tried csdm 214 before , did the same thing

Hmm i cant replicate this :/ im running sm 1.4.4 csdm 2.1.5-dev. Make sure your gamedata is correct (copy both sm and cssdm gamedata again)

This could be the deathbeams plugin if you're running that. Obviously he's not, but for anyone else reading this that is using it, I had the same problem when using that plugin. I saw it has an updated gamedata again too...

well i tried the same sm 1.4.4 and cssdm 2.1.5 and still the same , i choose a weapon from dm menu in the game and it crashes

could it be sth with the thing that if i generate the metamod.vdf and put it in the addons folders it doesnt work and i have to edit manualy the gameinfo.txt ?

even when i turn off the cssdm weapon menu , it crashes after 1 minute or so... god damn it what is it xD

Dear xxbordelxx,

First thing is to make sure you're not running CSSDM in FFA mode and test it. I'm not saying that's it, but that hosed some people during last update until Dr!fter was good enough to fix it..

It looks like you're only running the basic SM plugins with the exception of CSSDM. If this is the case, then disregard my next suggestion which would be to move all your SM plugins to the disabled folder, with the exception of the stock ones that come with SourceMod. Then see if it still crashes. If it doesn't crash after doing that, slowly add them back into the mix one at a time until it starts to crash. If you add one that crashes the server, you've found the bugger.

If it crashes with no plugins running except the stock ones, your sourcemod folder is probably borked and I'd place a fresh copy of the latest snapshot of SM on your server and test it. If it runs, then add CSSDM annd test it again... If that works, you've solved it and you can move your old plugins over or reinstall them. The most recent SM snapshot as of this writing is 1.4.4-hg3525. There have been multiple snapshot updates in the past 48 hours.

For all I know you tried all this, but having been where you are, it helps to get a fresh mind on the problem sometimes in case we missed something.

i ll start from the beginning

1. Installed the server
HldsUpdateTool.exe -command update -game "Counter-Strike Source" -dir c:\srcds
2. Downloated metamod , sourcemod, cssdm
metamod - copied in there , generated metamod.vdf
sourcemod - copied in there
cssdm - the same

meta didnt work so i had to manualy edit the gameinfo.txt

i ran the server , and it works, but crashes when i choose weapon in cssdm menu or if i dont in about 1 minute crashes anyways

so i put cssdm into DISABLED , server goes fine
i aint running FFA mode
tried:
different SM versions
different cssdm versions
different cssdm.games.txt
obviously i didnt try all the sm and cssdm versions cuz there are so many , but since the server doesnt crash while CSSDM is disabled , then it must be something in it

Try the attached cssdm.games.txt file. It came with the latest snapshot of CSSDM dated 7/2/12 which is after the update occured to CSS. Let me know...

Dont upload any gamedata to the forums. Use the one here https://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?t=189034 so not to make it more confusing since there is so many copies of it already. That one will always be correct.

I dont know why metamod wont work with a vdf. But i can get it to work fine. can you post the output of plugin_print
