Hello there guys,

I am still having an issue with my source tv relay proxy server.

Even though I set these settings at the server.cfg of master server and also put them at the command line of the proxy server...(with + prefix, like +sv_maxrate 100000)

sv_minrate 100000 sv_maxrate 100000 sv_maxupdaterate 66 sv_minupdaterate 66 sv_maxcmdrate 66 sv_mincmdrate 66 tv_snapshotrate 66 tv_maxrate 100000

... my source tv relay proxy is STILL laggy, with low snapshotrate or tickrate (see below pic) :



Many spectators in our recent 3on3 tournament, complaint about this stv lag
So, what I suppose to do now to fix this??

If you can enter relay console input, type tv_snapshotrate without value. You seee current value.


From where you launch your Relay ??
From same path as game server srcds.exe ??
Would be easier if you separate game and relay destinations... but let's try now this way.

Use tv_ cvars on Master SourceTV Server (Game server where you enable tv_enable 1)
Add those in
...cfg/autoexec.cfg

tv_maxclients 128
tv_snapshotrate 66
tv_maxrate 100000
tv_enable 1

and relay launch parameter

srcds.exe -game cstrike -console +tv_relay IP:27020

IP = your game server IP

Relay should work with same settings as Master Server SourceTV when connected

Have just tested.

Ofcource there is tv_delay, when client connect to SourceTV it take some time get updaterate up.

I assume clients need set rate by himself, those sv_minrate/sv_maxrate not force clients anymore when connect to SourceTV.

Hey , sorry for bumping in an old thread.

I just noticed that the low snapshotrate is located only IN THE SOURCE TV RELAY PROXY SERVER.

I also joined the master source tv and it was fine.

I cannot understand why this happen , the remote pc where the proxy is located is a core i7 machine and the versions of srcds are all 1.0.067 ( the latest css update)

I think the relay server should have own cfg .

I have already set cfg's.

The problem is that the master tv server has good snapshotrate (the one that I specified from cfg) , while the tv relay server has always low snapshotrate , (9 to 12/s) causing the tv relay server to lag ,with players warping , making spectating horrible.
