OK this is very strange. I ran my server on -autoupdate and I saw that it completed the update successfully, with the message

HLDS installation up to date

When I go to join my server it says:

The server is running an older version of the game.

In the server console I see:

MasterRequestRestart Your server will be restarted on map change.

I changed my map and it restarted completely, only to receive the same error when connecting and the same log in the server console.


Is this happening to anyone else?

Not having this *exact* issue.

But I am having problems with the new update...When I or anybody else joins my server it just like...exits/kicks them kind of.

Sending them back to the server browser without any message or anything in logs.

Im confused...? to say the least.

OK my specific problem solved by editing /server/orangebox/tf/steam.inf and incrementing the version number after running the server with the -autoupdate:

My Linux server seems to be crashing constantly, but my Windows server is fine...

Never had this error before, it was perfectly fine before the latest update. If needed, I can provide a list of the plugins on my Linux server.

I'd say it has to do with libc.so.6, but I would have no idea how to fix that.

@Jonzky: I looked in the TF2-Stats code and asked DarthNinja but it does not look like it is causing the issue. He says he gets the messages on his server. (see tf2-stats thread)

I have made a thread for the issue. I have disabled SM/MM but I still am not getting any drop messages, seems like a configuration/SRCDS issue.

My linux server is also randomly crashing. I am going to disable all my mods and see if it stops.
