Why would you need to protect plugin?

If its private no-one else should have access to it. If you were to share it with someone you would have to give the source code and he could remove the "ip protection" part.
So only way to protect is that you don't give people access that you don't trust.

What kind of plugin are we talking about anyway? No offense but i don't think that your work needs "protecting".

Then don't give him the .amxx.

AMXX and works derived from AMXX are licensed under the GPL, meaning that these works are open-source.
Denying access to the source code is violation of the license.

Hi Exolent .... if u mean what u said then post the SMA of Hack detector plugin here and remove private work part from your signature ,...bcoz as per my knowledge open source means its open to all .. so why putting private option there ?

1. Exolent always provides sourcecodes for his private work.
2. You misunderstand private work, and plugin without source code.
3. He didn't post sourcecode of his hack detector for some obvious reasons: database information inside, much easier for hackers to understand how it works. He even written that on his website.
